Our laboratories are a centre of excellence and are unmatched within the industry.

We are a leading supplier to the aerospace, military, parachute and marine safety and rescue industries. The cornerstone of our success in these markets is our investment in Quality Assurance.

  • RTL has quality assurance accreditation ISO 9001:2000 (without exclusions).
  • We are currently working towards the environmental management system 14001:2004.



Additionally, we certify our materials to British MOD and American military specifications.

We perform a wide range of physical and chemical tests such as:

Webbing tested in glass flask
  • Tensile Strength Testing
  • Flammability
  • Elongation
  • Colour Fastness

As well as specialist testing carried out for specific industries and end users such as:

  • Infra Red Reflectance – to MOD specifications
  • Flash Inhibitor Testing – to MOD specifications


We have recently designed and developed a database, which interfaces with our product and SOP software to provide unparalleled levels of traceability for all our processes.
